March 12, 201214 yr Just finished watching the show. Loved it but I believe it sucks that Shane died, not because he was great but I was hoping his villain character would build more.
March 12, 201214 yr I thought maybe he just snapped because of what Ricks wife was telling him. But there has to be some kind of contact because both him and Randall reanimated. Told my gf that he had it. Remember when Rick and Shane went out and found the guys with no bite marks but were infected? I'm almost wondering if Shane knew he was infected and found a way to transmit it to that kid. They showed the open wounds from where he had tried to get out of the cuffs and shane just smiled.
March 12, 201214 yr 9/11 Truthers would just say that the government sprayed everyone with walker dust before this all went down. That's what those things the TSA use are really doing.....
March 12, 201214 yr So basically everyone is already infected. And unless you are shot/stabbed in the head or burned to death, you are going to turn into a zombie. Remember from last season when they were at that infectious diseases place where the scientist blew the place up? Well--the scientist whispered something in Rick's ear. Was it that everyone is already infected?

Pretty sure you are off on this one. Everyone is infected already. When you die, you become a zombie. That is unless of course you die like Dale, with a shot to the head.
March 12, 201214 yr Pretty sure you are off on this one. Everyone is infected already. When you die, you become a zombie. That is unless of course you die like Dale, with a shot to the head. If that's the case then it's more like Dawn of the Dead or whatever that movie was called. It makes sense but yet it doesn't. In the beginning they said that some people were immune I thought? I guess I could see it either way, either it was someone being scratched or something else like they mentioned in previous episodes ORRR it's like you say and they couldn't figure out how those guys were infected because every one is infected including them. We will have a better idea next week.
March 12, 201214 yr Pretty sure you are off on this one. Everyone is infected already. When you die, you become a zombie. That is unless of course you die like Dale, with a shot to the head. So Shane may have known that he was already infected. Knew he had nothing to lose and killed the kid. That explains why he had no inhibitions going after Rick. Knew he was going to die a zombie so why not go after Rick.
March 12, 201214 yr I think so. Which is why he had no hope for the world. Because zombies will never go away if this is true... Sure they will, you chop off every one that dies head or you could just cremate them. Sure there would be random zombies popping up because you can't account for everyone in the world when they die, but I mean it's a start. Has any one else wondered what the life expectancy is for a zombie/walker? I mean Shane showed that their vital organs mean nothing. So lack of food leading to their organs shutting down would mean much, lack of flow or oxygen to the brain wouldn't. So do they simply survive as long as their brain isn't smashed to bits, sliced open or shot to pieces?
March 12, 201214 yr So Shane may have known that he was already infected. Knew he had nothing to lose and killed the kid. That explains why he had no inhibitions going after Rick. Knew he was going to die a zombie so why not go after Rick. I think he knew he was infected, or it was effecting him. He said he could be a better father and husband than Rick, so it doesn't make much sense to kill someone because you can protect their family better if you know you're going to die too.

We will have a better idea next week. When I say infected, I mean they have it, but they're not going to turn zombie until they die. If you are bitten, scratched, etc...I think it speeds up the process. However everyone else is just waiting to die, and turn into a zombie.

I undestand what you are saying, just think it's kind of strange that Shane did whatever to the guy(we have no clue what he did) and then the guy shows up as a walker and Shane is later shown flipping out. We shal see. I'm just excited to see how they take it, I don't really think there is a right or wrong aswer sense we don't have any facts but I can see either side. March 12, 201214 yr Between now and next week my 4-yr-old will watch this show 5 or 6 times. So I will be looking for more clues. If I have any great revelations I will PM all of you except TAC! No spoilers, right?
March 12, 201214 yr The show's producer promises that next week's finale will be just as "jaw-dropping".
