Sam Harp does have a few titles under his belt but I'm pretty certain that he was the head coach the past two seasons as well and we know the outcome of those games.

 

Like I said...Last years Admiral team was Harps worse team in his career and the team before that was not much better.Danville did not get to the state championship the last two years and Green County didn't either.:thumb:

It will be decided by the kids on the field in about 59 hours. I am sure the Dragons realize this isn't the same Danville team as last year. Teams rarely are the same from year to year. We aren't the same. If one team wants to go through the motions this week, they will get blown out. If the teams want to play, it's gonna be a 48 minute show! I think the key this week is ball control. Both teams have had their issues this year with keeping the ball and that's going to be the huge factor.

 

Harp had talent last year, he just couldn't get his kids to do it. Plain and simple. Every coach has that problem from time to time. 2 years ago he had talent. Green just wanted it more. I am not reaching in my bag and going to pull out any excuse for any game. The team that wants to win will.

Just curious. Does anyone in Danville know if Devin Furlow is back healthy. Will he suit up for the Ads in this game against Green Co.?

Hey ADOPTED ADMIRAL or THIN THIRTY, how has the Fan support been this year for the Ads? I know two years ago when we came to Admiral Stadium, there was about 30 people in the stands for the Ads. That was very disappointing and I hated it for the young men who went down fighting. Now I know it was about 16 degrees in temperature but was use to seeing Admiral Fan support very high.

players play and coaches coach. Who do you blame it on? A "night and day different admiral team" which consists a lot of the same players or Sam "God" Hard as he is commonly referred to in Danville?

 

In saying that know that I am not saying they aren't a good team this year. They are. I expect a good game Friday. Just hope it's a little better for us.

He's been known to prepare his teams and win some pretty tight ball games. With all that being said, a coach will coach and the players play. All coaches do a good job at preparation, scheming, and the X's and O's. In the end, it comes down to the execution, desire, and fight in the players that will determine the outcome.

 

Not intended as a dig at the Green Co. coach in any shape, form, or fashion. But Harp has a resume that few can match IMO. Not saying coaching does not require talent because it does and often talented coaches can be the diffrence in a close game, but Harp is a talented coach with TONS of experience. That to me is a winning combonation more often than not. Good luck to both teams.

Why wouldn't we compare Green County to Danville? Aren't they playing in 2 days? Or are you generalizing communities?

 

GC has 1 Regional title. Won back before most of us were born. 1975 over Mayfield. But I would think that's irrelevant. The history of these two teams are not playing each other Friday night. Don't expect Green to get off the bus in street clothes on Friday and hand you the game ball because you are Danville and have Sam Harp. Just as I don't expect the ball will arrive UPS on Friday because of the last 2 years results.

 

We are less than 48 hours away from seeing how this will turn out. I hope for a well executed game for both of us.

 

You keep talking about how last years Admirals were the worst team ever and the one before that wasn't very good either. Guess what. The two Dragon teams that faced them wasn't the best to come out of Greensburg either.
