Garrard County led by two touchdowns most of the night, withstood a couple third quarter pushes by Estill, and then scored twice in the fourth to put the game away. Lions offense was terrific, especially on the ground. I have no official numbers but I'm sure they ran for at least 300 yards. Even more impressive was the Lions defense which did a nice job of shutting down the Engineer running game.

Really good win for Garrard, who played very well and executed a really good game plan by the coaching staff to the perfection. Enjoy it tonight and off to Somerset next week.

How many yards did Hayes have?

How many yards did Hayes have?

He had a 73 yard touchdown run on the last play of the first half and I'm sure he was over 100 yards. He didn't get as many carries as Cory Wilson, who probably was pushing 175 yards. Hayes did have a really nice touchdown catch in the fourth quarter that effectively put the game away. But I don't have any official numbers.

Congrats Golden Lions.....see you next week.

I thought ol' Coach Scenters would have those boys ready to play.....big congrats to you and your boys Mark!

WOW...not shocked at the win....but a little by the score...WOW!!!!

Garrard County put a final score up with about 4 minutes left to seal the game and made the score look a little worse than it actually was. Garrard led 13-7 at halftime and was never up more than 2 touchdowns until the end. Second half saw a lot of Garrard scoring to make it a 14-point lead, followed by Estill cutting it back to 7.

Congrats Garrard Co. and a very good coach and great person in Coach Scenters!!

Congrats to GC and good luck this week.

Garrard is really young. They have some good talent, but on occasion the youth is showcased and they just look lost. But last night was such a joy because you could see how talented the Lions are if they put everything together. Hopefully it's a stepping stone for a few years of future success.
