OMG!!! Boo Hoo to all crying about this game. C'mon men, or should I say kids. Please!!!! I think it is hilarious that a program the caliber of Ryles would complain about a game or its coaching staff. Whatever.

 

That's funny, calling us kids... I can't ever remember using "OMG." You have completely missed my point; I was merely stating that I don't understand why the JV staff felt it necessary to punch another one in at the end of the game when they were up by the margin that they were. HHS definitely outplayed Ryle and deserved the win, they have a very nice team. The HHS Varsity staff, players and fans have been nothing but first class after Thursday night... the complete opposite of today(by this, I mean the staff).

Looks like Dale was maybe trying to send a message for what's in store in the future if these two continue the rivalry that has developed the past two seasons.

So what does that have to do with scheduling a varsity football game? I am lost..

JV games are to give players experience. Because it was the last JV game of the season, I noticed the Birds were playing deep in their rotations. During the playoffs most JV players may not see game action until next season. I enjoyed watching the Birds bench cheering as some younger players made big plays.

Not exactly what the message was... HHS is up 54-7 in the last couple of minutes in the game, the staff then decides to throw 3 times down field and go into a hurry up mode in order to score again at the end of the game when they could very easily have run the clock out. Not really sure what point the staff was trying to make.

 

Was not at the game but if this is what happened it shows total lack of class on the part of HHS JV. If a team is up this much, with only a few minutes to play, you go to more conservative play calling. Now if you still score with your 3rd string running between the tackles, so be it. There is such a thing as winning with class and sometimes we forget that.

The JV coach is simply doing as he was taught when he played for Highlands. Anyone who says it isn't how they have done things before is kidding themselves.

You don't think attempting to humiliate an opponent no matter what level can have an adverse effect on who wants to schedule you?

For those that say it is the D's job to stop them when they prove they can't you stop yourself.

Example: Beechwood was up 52-0 at halftime in a game and won 52-7 because their coach decided he gets nothing out of humiliating kids.
