I don't have any details on this one. I saw the score on WKYT news.

Congrats to LCA on the win and good luck next week. :thumb:

Rams.....this was another tough loss but you need to shake it off and get ready for another big rival game next week with Russell, then a week off before the 2nd season (playoffs) start.

I have another thought before I wait to read others take on the game.............LCA is still LCA and they are always going to put a quality team on the field. I have enjoyed the competition/district rivalry. Most years it was LCA and our Rams finishing 1-2 in the district. LCA, we could possibly meet one more time in the playoffs but if not good luck in the future and I can now pull for you in every game unless we may meet again. :D:thumb:.

I have enjoyed the exchanges with the LCA fans.

Also on a personal note I want to mention the prayers and kindness shown to me by all the LCA fans......Bluto, 2 Eagles you guys will always mean alot to me, you are a class act my friends :thumb::thumb:

First off I want to say good game Raceland! Its always a great experience playing there and its always good competition.

But I have to ask, what was up with Raceland's special teams? I assumed the kicker was injured until they attempted a field goal.

Some key stats:

LCA....Rams

38 ........26 Points Scored

16.........25 First Downs

307.......99 Total Yards Rushing

52.......288 Total Yards Passing

2............5 Total Turnovers

12/66...0/0 Penalties/Yards

The last one kind of stood out to me.

I went to the game and did not under stand the kicking game either. One man deep kick it deep when they did LCA got the ball around the 20yd line if not kicking it deep kick it out of bounds. I also thought that int's killed the Rams along with the fumbles also. The qb has to learn to not force the pass from where I was standing all he had to to was throw the ball deep and let the receivers run to the ball,it was there alnight long. I thought Austin Johnson played one of the better games that I had seen in a while.

First of all. Congrats go out to LCA. Team and fans! I just wish we had showed up to play. One of the poorest played games I've seen play out of a RAMS team in a long time. Sometimes good teams make you look bad! Special teams killed us. I have to believe the kicker was suppose to do one thing but did something else. Because he sure got his butt ripped a couple times on the sidelines. The backs in the backfield not making any effort to block the defense coming at the QB. The QB making some very bad decisions. Our D-backs got ate up all nght. If LCA's QB had thrown the ball better we would have gotten killed. He missed alot of wide open receivers. I know on defense we are very young and that this is a learning year for about four or five. But man is it painful to watch sometimes.

I did think that out line play on both sides of the ball played better. Not real good. But better. I think our QB had time to throw most of the night. I may be a little bias there!

I do believe if you take all of our unforced mistakes out of this game. WE WIN!! But isn't that the way it is in almost every close game.

I do believe if LCA doesn't play better on both sides of the ball when Fairview rolls into Lexington. It may be a long night. Because that West Huntington/Fairview team is a good team with speed. Their D-backs, backs and line are better then the RAMS. That will spell trouble for LCA if they don't play a great game! Also lots of silly penalties for LCA. Better clean that up fast. Kept us in the game!!

IF I am wrong on any of this. Someone please say something!!!

Good luck LCA the remainder of the season.

^ Thanks for the summary RfC. Sounds like about what it has been all season with this team, one play we look like a world beater and the next a Jr. High team could beat us and out hit us.

Congrats again to LCA and good luck next week.

Yeah - thanks for all that data Bluto! Where on earth do get all those stats from anyway? ;)

As I predicted in the pre-game thread - Turnovers and Special Teams play will be the difference in this game and it was. The only equalizer to the Turnover problem of Raceland was LCA's Mental Mistakes (aka PENALTIES) which kept Raceland in the game throughout...I did not think the officiating was bad at all - LCA was bad and had silly/stupid mental breakdowns.

LCA's special teams performed well - not stellar - but well - especially after they realized Raceland was going to kick On-side kicks everytime (no kicker) - I think that had some impact (both ways) because Raceland did recover one of them for a huge momentum changer in the 2nd Qtr and LCA (after they figured it out) had some great returns and field position on a couple of them.

Raceland has a good team and are VERY WELL coached - they will make some noise in the playoffs - wait and see.

And as always and as expected - the LCA fans, coaches, players and Media/Stats people were treated so well by the awesome HOSPITALITY and RESPECT of the Raceland Program!!! I will miss coming to that venue since LCA is moving to 2A next year - what a great bunch of fans/people/community in Raceland - I cannot say enough good things about them. :)

Maybe these 2 can still play each other each year since Greenup won't play Raceland.

I just got down watching the film and yes we had some stupid mental mistakes, but a lot of the calls were not very good at all. I'm also very interested in what went on with Raceland's special teams.

I am also very sad that I didn't get a Ramburger, by the time I got out of my pads they weren't selling them anymore.

The better team on this night won the football game.

Also, you know the way I personally feel about the LCA fan base, especially youself and Bluto and I hope your LCA team tears up 2A. :thumb::thumb:

The last one kind of stood out to me.

I've seen some lopsided ratioes over the years, but never double-digit penalties on one team and none whatsoever for the other. I don't even know for sure why I looked to see where the game was played.
