May 18, 201214 yr Anyone going after FB today? I have a limit order out but I highly doubt it gets filled. I think it will see 50-55 today. In the past I've waited a little while as the price often settles down after the initial exceitement. I'll see what it is in a few weeks.
May 18, 201214 yr Not me. I'll wait a few weeks to let it get past the initial euphoria. I will likely sell at some point today even if my order is filled. I am just hoping to make a quick buck.

May 18, 201214 yr Wikipeda can give a better definition than I can... A limit order is an order to buy a security at no more than a specific price, or to sell a security at no less than a specific price. This gives the trader (customer) control over the price at which the trade is executed; however, the order may never be executed ("filled").[2] Limit orders are used when the trader wishes to control price rather than certainty of execution. A buy limit order can only be executed at the limit price or lower. For example, if an investor wants to buy a stock, but doesn't want to pay more than $20 for it, the investor can place a limit order to buy the stock at $20 "or better". By entering a limit order rather than a market order, the investor will not buy the stock at a higher price, but, may get fewer shares than he wants or not get the stock at all.
May 18, 201214 yr Author I am thoroughly confused here. What do you mean by "order filled"? When you place an order with a limit you are saying "I'll pay no more than this." The traders then see if there is a seller for your offer. If so they sell it and your order is "filled." If not the order never happens. That way you don't get caught in a run-away market scenario. You control your purchase price or sell price.
May 18, 201214 yr Author Brendan Prunty @BrendanPrunty CNBC says Bono's pre-IPO shares in Facebook will net him more money than his entire career w/ US. I think he's found what he's looking for. Note: The "US" should be "U2."
May 18, 201214 yr Author I thought it said 11 AM? What's the deal? Not sure. I can't find any reasons listed online.
