There was an article online today talking about families arguing amongst themselves as to which 2 members get to meet the miner when they first surface.

This won't be over for quite a while, but hey if you've got the time it could be fun to watch.

Great News !!! I am praying they get them all out okay.

I'm not gonna lie if you sit back, look at the time that they were down there, look at the time frame they were told it could take them to get out of there, and then just factor in all of the support that Chile has received from around the world. It's just pretty crazy and has to remind us that there are still alot of good people out there that DO value life.

The wife of Chilean miner Yonny Barrios won't be at the rescue site because he also asked his mistress to be there

It's like watching constipation on a much larger scale come to an end.

Wow, its like witnessing a miracle! Its about 8:50am and 11 of the miners have been rescued.

SAN JOSE MINE, Chile — The miners emerged like clockwork, jubilantly embracing wives, children and rescuers and looking remarkably composed Wednesday after languishing for 69 days in the depths of a mine that easily could have been their tomb.

The anxiety that had accompanied the final days of preparation melted away at 12:11 a.m. when the stoutest of the 33 miners, Florencio Avalos, 31, emerged from the missile-like rescue capsule smiling broadly after his half-mile journey to the surface.

In a din of cheers, he hugged his sobbing 7-year-old son and wife and then President Sebastian Pinera, who has been deeply involved in an effort that had become a matter of national pride.

The most ebullient of the bunch came out second, an hour later. Mario Sepulveda, 40, hugged his wife, Elvira, and then jubilantly handed souvenir rocks from his underground prison to laughing rescuers.

"I'm so happy!" Sepulveda yelled, grinning, punching his fist in the air and hugging everyone in sight. Sepulveda later said he had spent the last 10 weeks "between God and the devil."

"They fought, God won," he added.

Eleven men have been pulled out in the rescue operation in the Chilean desert — a drama in which the world was captivated by the miners' endurance and unity as officials meticulously prepared their rescue.

The only guy who wishes there was a back tunnel to come out of.

SAN JOSE MINE, Chile — Emerging to the joyous tears of their relatives and cries of "Chi! Chi! Chi! Le! Le! Le!", 18 of the 33 trapped Chilean miners have now made the journey from their half-mile-deep dungeon to the surface.

Esteban Rojas, 44, was the 18th miner to reach the surface, more than 12 hours after the "Phoenix" rescue capsule brought the first miner to safety. :ylsuper:

Haven't got to tune in on tv yet, but they were talking about it on the radio and it seemed touching.

Crazy that they said it could take up to 48 hours to remove them all.
