Pacman Jones Arrested?

Featured Replies

That is most definitely not the case. You think every cop is a sports fan?

And we still don't know exactly what happened.

Considering that almost all Cincy cops work Bengals games, I'd be utterly shocked if they didn't know him.

All of the cops work the games? How do you know that all of them work the games? Even if they do...that doesn't mean they know every single player just by looking at them.

Come on UKMG. I would imagine that the city of Cincinnati probably employs around 1,000 police officers.

I didn't say all, I said almost all.

And I know because a Cincy cop has told me as much.

Any more questions?

A rumor running rampant on Twitter and the Internet at large involves a contention that Bengals cornerback Pacman Jones was arrested after Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers.

The Bengals tell us that Pacman Jones indeed was arrested. But the Bengals also claim that Jones has been released.

Per Bengals spokesman Jack Brennan, the police have characterized it as a case of mistaken identity.

They thought he was Ryan Howard or Jimmy Rollins. I know a Cincinnati cop, and he told me so.:lol::lol:

I might think of a few more later. Regardless, that doesn't mean that every single one of them know who Adam Jones is.

From Mark Curnutte, who has been following the Adam Jones story:

Bengals defensive back Adam Jones was handcuffed and detained but released without being charged with a crime or arrested Sunday afternoon, stemming from an auto accident near Great American Ball Park, Cincinnati Police said Sunday night.

The incident, in which Jones, 27, drove a silver Jaguar onto the sidewalk near the Reds ballpark, led to Jones being hand-cuffed by officers, police said.

There was an outstanding warrant on the license plates, police said.

A witness said Jones’ car swerved to avoid the car in front of his and jumped the curb onto the sidewalk.

So, there we have it. No profiling. Guess that poo poos that theory.

I am sure every cop in Cincy received a photo of Pacman with in 24 hours of him signing his contract.
