Conner handled Newport rather easily in the opener this morning. Big size advantage went to Conner in this one. Clay Robinson with 5 three's had a nice game. Looked like they were making the "extra" pass today which helped in their 77-56 final score. The second game looked like a good one. When I left in the middle of the 2nd Q, Grant Co. was up 2 on Campbell Co. Was really impressed with the grit of the Grant Co. squad. Multiple players getting to rim and scoring or getting fouled. They were definitely making CC play D. Update on this game would be appreciated. Nate McGovney was looking good for CC. Very physical game.

?? First, they are coming, actually in town now.

 

They were unable to play the first day from the beginning due to their trip schedule, as they are doing a lot on their trip besides basketball. First they went to the Patriots game in Buffalo which is why they told Lloyd up front they couldn't start until Tuesday, tomorrow night they will watch the Celtics at the Pacers. Then the Louisville Slugger museum, the Florida at Xavier game, and somewhere along the line the Syracuse at Notre Dame.

 

Seems like a great trip for their players!

Sounds expensive.

Looking forward to 2nd round of this tournament I have really enjoyed the games and have seen some really nice teams. I hope today is as competative as yesterday.....
