Exactly. The loss Wednesday was no bigger than any of the other 72 losses.

They tried to win those though. Folding was dumb. Obviously.

You thought SF couldn't lose and the Reds couldn't win. Don't change your stance now. You wouldn't Philly. Stay strong. The Reds folded a must win game.

The way it's looking, it wouldn't have mattered what happened that game. It would have been a shame for the Reds to play everybody until they "knew" they wouldn't get the 2 seed and still not get it.

Unless SF blows their lead, Cincy would have had to go 5-0. Wasn't happening.

They didn't 'try' to lose Wednesday.

You and the Reds assumed. You know what they say about assuming. There were 5 days to get rest besides the rest this week. It was dumb to assume anything

They didn't try to win. Look you all didn't think SF could lose. They did. You were wrong. Let it go. It happens.

Whatever. They weren't getting the 2 seed and it worked out like that. The old saying about assuming didn't come true, and it rarely does if it's an educated decision as this was.

Do you think the Reds go 5-0 over their final 5? I'm guessing no...

Yes. They folded a game and they lost a game in extras. They could have won 5. They gave up. No other way around it.

If they don't rest players Wednesday, they give 4-5 players days off at a time over 2 games. They wouldn't have won their last 5 and more importantly they didn't. No other way around it.

They are the ony team with anything to play for that folded. They had a chance and gave up. They had a bunch of chances to rest guys without giving up a game. It was a terrible decision and for it they get the best team in the NL. They can win, but they're huge underdogs. I hope they win, but it was stupid. Oh well anyone who believes the Reds couldn't beat the Stros and the Brewers can't think they match up well with the Philies.

Where did I say they couldn't beat those teams? I said they wouldn't go 5-0....
