Good game Green but things like this have been going on in GC since i was playing back in the late 80's......It should have never been that close.LO has the talent just like they did last year just are not in sync.

Much of the same kind of stuff… You have to be 14pts better than Green, to get a 1pt win at Green...

Shadiness from a Green County home game? I'm absolutely speechless.

Semperfifalcon, its comments like yours that fuel the fire between Green and Monroe. You can't ever give credit where credit is due. Its something always negative from you when it comes to the Green Co program. It really gets old !!! The facts are that the kids are kids and they are coming together and you will get your shot in two weeks. In the end, you will eat your words. This team is coming together just right and the fact is that the guys outplayed Lone Oak, fought like Warriors, and simply wanted it more. All i can say is enjoy what you ha e in Tompkinsville because the boat is beginning to rock. Losing to FrAnklin Simpson, will lose to Glasgow, and YES you will lose to Green and ACS. 6-4 will be your final record and the future is looking pretty grim for Falcon football. Now I repect your program, always have and always will but you should keep your hatred towards us to yourself because you are hurting noone but our kids, your community, and overall yourself. Makes you look selfish !!! Good Luck to you the rest of the year, you will need it !!!

Makes me look selfish?

You guaranteeing a Green Victory vs. Monroe?

Your right about the loss to Franklin Simpson being bad, If we had a little more "time" it might have been different. I bet you know where we could find a good clock operator?

Why would I have any jealousy or respect for Green Co. When Green Loses they claim we wet the field, when we stomp them for the regional championship on their field (39-14) they try to start taking our players out with cheap shots away from the ball (I believe the video is still available online). Why would I have respect for the Coaches of Green who can't seem to conduct themselves in a civil manner or even keep from having a monumental breakdown on a message board? (Remember last year?).

Bottom line is Green Co. hasn't deserved my respect on the field or off, two of the last 3 years they have won the district but lost the region to teams they had previously beaten, no respect earned there. Off the field I will never have respect for the dragons as long as Griffith and the current coaching staff is in place, if that changes then maybe someday I could cheer for the Dragons and who knows if Griffith keeps job hunting maybe somebody beside Green will be silly enough to hire him...

Good Day...

Outplayed Lone Oak?

According to the story and boxscore I saw, Lone Oak outgained Green County by more than 100 yards and hurt themselves with three turnovers ... a fumble near the goal line and an interception in the end zone.

Lone Oak's defense only gave up two offensive touchdowns ... one was a kickoff return. And I think everyone that has seen the tape will agree that the clock should have run out before the last score.

There was also a slight discrepancy in penalties ... Lone Oak with 10 for 105 yards and Green County with 2 for 20 yards.

All of which doesn't change the outcome ... Green County won the game and Lone Oak should have never let it be that close in the fourth quarter.

How can the KHSAA not look at the tape and say the game should have been over. It's obvious! They should take the win away from Green Co. and give it to the team that won the game, Loan Oak.

Agree 100% with westsider. With the exception of the last drive as time was winding down (?), Green County was pretty much stagnant on offense. The qb did have a couple of nice runs but had trouble with the pass. I thought Green County play an expectional gameon the defensive side of the ball. I can't believe Lone Oak was held scoreless in the 2nd half. Loss really dosen't hurt that much at this point in the season in what was really a meaningless game for the Flash.

Warning Side Effects from predictions may make one have a crow like taste sensation in mouth. LoL. Just kidding. Lone Oak is down as that they are out of sync. Young qb and a huge offensive line that seem not to know their blocking assignments. Lone Oak's team and coaches overlooked Green County and even continued to overlooked them during the game. Obviously thinking Green would would wear down. That cost them the game.

Now the clock keeper's and the khsaa official crew's clock fiasco was a huge error caught on tape! I believe it was a honest error, but none the less it has damage Green County's reputation for home field fairness to the visiting team.

As I posted before predictions are dangerous and one may have to eat crow. I can remember something about Green County Fans making accusations that Monroe co. wetted their field one time when it did actually come a monsoon that day of the Green County / Monroe Co game in Tompkinsville. Now if Green co had been the visiting team and the clock operator screw up what would happen? What would the green radio announcers and the fans done or say? I wonder? I do believe it was a honest error but none the less an error that has been broadcasted over the internet. I also hold the official crew at fault for the time clock error. Green County did an outstanding job on pass defense. I watched the entire video on the webcast. Green County's qb is a dangerous runner, especially in the shotgun formation. He was the key for Green County's victory.

Lone Oak's interception at the goal line and missed FG in the last half of the fourth quarter didnt help.

So in a nutshell, Green County has it first and goal at the Lone Oak 7-yard line with :41 seconds left.

First and goal, run play gets them one yard. Clock keeps running.

Second and goal, ball snapped with :26 left. Green County QB gets sacked back to the 25-yard line. Green calls their last timeout with :14 left.

Third and goal from the 25. Green County completes a long pass to the Lone Oak 2-yard line. Tackle made with :10.1 left. The clock stops at :08.5 to allow Green to come to the line. The clock starts briefly and then stops again at :07.3 until the ball is snapped.

Fourth and goal, Green runs a play and scores a touchdown. There is 2.4 seconds showing on the clock. However, a total of 11 seconds ran off the clock when it shouldn't have.

According to the film, no officials on the field waved timeout when the third down pass was completed.

One of the worst cases of clock mismanagement I've ever seen. Ever.

Bottom Line is Green County 20, Lone Oak 17. I won't guarantee anything. All I am doing is backing up what I said 3 weeks ago when I said Monroe will start 6-0 only to finish 6-4. Take that as you may.

If we had a little more "time" it might have been different.

Hahahaha...Ifs, Buts, Candy, and Nuts...we'd all have a Merry Christmas !!!

I would bet almost anything that that mistake was far from honest...
