That's about where I thought they should be, I'm suprised that Alabama is that far down and I thought FL and TX would be a little closer to CA.

Not really Walter...those are the top four football states and not suprised with Georgia right there too.

 

Lots of good football in Ohio in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, and even Dayton.

I read last week that a high school in Pittsburgh has the most current NFL players on active rosters.

You have to look at population. Alabama has a much smaller population then most of the states above them. The best way to guage it would be to do it NFL players per capita. Anybody with the time feel free to make that happen.

On the flip side though, New York, which is one of the top 3 biggest states, isn't even in the top 15.

The Pelican State has the highest per-capita rate of NFL players (1 in 65,720) followed by Mississippi (1 in 76,883) and Hawaii (1 in 80,769). By comparison, California's rate is 1 in 175,163.

California's population is SOOOO much larger than those two states (Or most states for that matter) that it's really about the right mix between CA and TX.

Florida and Texas were going to be my first 2 guesses. Cal didn't come to mind right off of the bat but it makes sense.
