Or are they just a flash in the pan at 5-0?

The win at Marion County tonight is impressive. Marion has a very nice squad that has multiple options on offense. To shut them out is a surprise. With Danville, Bardstown, and Fort Knox all decent, but not really winning, that district could be Washington County's for the taking.

A little side note, however, Washington County hasn't won a playoff game since beating Monroe County in 1997. The Commanders have had moderate expectations a few times lately and haven't really risen up. It will be interesting to see how they handle prosperity this time around.

The games against Bardstown and Danville will be the biggest tests they have left.

And both are home games.

I don't think the B-town will be too much of a test but the Danvillle game will be. They do have a great chance of winning the district.

Marion is good. Washington is legit.

They'll get a pretty good challenge next week too.

Big difference in Washington Co. this year is the addiction of Coach Craig Yeast. Just look what he did at Marion Co. last year, he's a great motivator and role model. He makes those kids believe in themselves and has the ability to get the most from what he has to work with. Washington Co. will do nothing but get better with each week! They have a real good shot at a undefeated season and to go deep into the playoffs!

Good Luck

What is Coach Yeast addicted to? Hopefully it's just caffeine.

Winning Football is a great addiction, should have read addition sorry!

I have been saying this since week two! Washington is the sleeper team in the region. They will make a deep run and possibly a region shot...

Washington Co will finish 2nd in their district only to lose to Danville. However as saying Bardstown and Danville are there only tests left is nuts, they do play Bethlehem this week which will be a test for them as well

Danville has a week off and hopefully will get some offensive issues worked out. I don't have the numbers but with the exception of Pikeville, Danville's pre district schedule has been much much stronger than Washington County's. If Danville's offense gets on track they will take the district title.:clap:
