Breaking News: Bledsoe earned his grade.

Featured Replies

I still believe that he didn't earn the grades to play college basketball.

He probably didnt, but neither do numerous other college players. As long as the NCAA agree he earned them, Im fine with it.

What did you expect the newspaper to say? This report doesn't jive with what the previously reported. This newspaper along with the NY Times acted irresponsibly and damaged a young man's name. Bledsoe should sue all involved.

You understand that if Bledsoe sues, the defense can and likely will call every teacher Bledsoe has ever had to the stand and question every grade given him. Not sure I would want all of those skeletons coming out of the closet. Ask Karen Sypher what happens when you sue someone and allow your life to be dissected.

On second thought don't sue.

Let the hate continue. I can't wait for all the whining when Kanter is ruled eligible. I can see it now, "he shouldn't be eligible", "his family is lying", "Cal is a cheater", "the NCAA will/should investigate". Get out your crying towels!

Wow I am so surprised he earned his grade was cleared to play and it all stands. What are the haters going to do now? Like I have said before Rick Pitino will get a STD before Cal gets probation.

On a side note UK fans should never moan about how the NCAA loves Duke or Kansas more than them now, UK has received the same treatment as Duke and Kansas if this matter is truly closed so that argument flies right out the window.

LOL. In the Duke and Kansas cases the NCAA found proof of wrong doing but did nothing about it. In this case nobody has proof of anything. Take off the hater glasses.

UK haters need to get a life we are back u might as well get ready The Big Blue will be kicking butt and taking names for the next several years in Basketball!

Go Big Blue!

So independent investigators who have no dog in the fight come out saying that the are convinced that the school officials and teachers are lying isn't good enough proof. It would take less proof than that for UK fans to be going nuts if this was Louisville, Duke, or whoever.

Title isn't misleading at all. The teacher, and Superintendent both stated he earned the grade. Until somebody else starts determining the grades of the students then that is what we have to go on.

The independent investigators also said they are convinced those two individuals are lying. They can say it until they are blue in the face, but I'll stick with the independent investigators who don't have a dog in this fight. In the end it's not terrible they helped him because it saved him a life of poverty, but if he hadn't been a basketball star I would guarantee the school would have been content to just let him take his grades and flunk out, that happens all too often in public schools. The start athletes are passed on to keep playing while students who don't really contribute are just allowed to flunk out. It has to be obvious to everyone at this point, that his high school has some serious problems. I don't blame Bledsoe for these problems, but it should be obvious by now this school has their own agenda and has had for a while.

You should know by now that you can't argue with UK fans. Their team is perfect and the best program ever and so are their fans. All of college basketball should bow down to them and worship their existence.

Hey we got it they didn't have a dog in the fight, but it cracks me up that they can even say they are convinced they are lying. That is only their opinion that they were lying and they have no proof.

Your post on that the NCAA is showing favoritism to UK is a laugh. This was not an investigation of UK by the NCAA. I am sorry you did not get what you wanted out of this Bledsoe issue. Just go on hating.

I am glad it doesn't bother you to admit this. Thanks for your honesty.:D

Well considering in the report under Alabama LAW the teacher has to keep his grades book for 3 years and he didn't for this class should be enough to prove to you right there this is fishy. On top of that the principal at the time has stated that Bledsoe would never had been allowed to take the Algebra 3 class in question before Algebra 2 if he had known about it is another fishy part of this whole thing. There is just an awful lot of smoke here, if you believe them all to be innocent you are lying to yourself. And the NCAA wasn't playing favoritism with UK they were just doing the same thing they've done in the past with Kansas where they aren't punishing the school for something they should have known about. And I feel fairly confident the NCAA isn't going to do anything, UK commented that as far as they could tell the matter was closed now. But keep convincing yourself Bledsoe and these teachers are saints.
