At Fort Campbell, Football Is Escape For Players With Parents Deployed?

Featured Replies

Awesome article! Really sheds light on the whole world of Fort Campbell, something I'm sure many people weren't familiar with. Will this be in Sports Illustrated, too? I'd love a hard copy to keep.

This is a great article! Not to take anything away from Fort Campbell, but I'm glad they mentioned Fort Knox as well. We have (relative to most of the country) a very high percentage of kids in their shoes, especially for a state our size. Thanks go out to these families for all the sacrifices they make, and the challenges they face.

Andy Staples really did a nice job with this article. After spending two days at FC, he really captured a lot of what life is like here on and off the field.

Andy's only fault is he is a Florida Gator with a ring, just kidding. Super job Andy, nice having you at FC !!

Bill Williams - I never put 2 and 2 together after hearing about #73 dying. God bless you for what you do and God bless your son.

Thanks for posting this article.

People that have never served don't understand what these kids and their parents go through. This article gives a little insight to these kids lives, and the daily struggles they face!!!!

Great article, and thank you for sharing! God Bless You Bill and may Tim always be with you and Kim. Your Friend, Tom

Awesome article! Just awesome.

I was literally in tears reading it.

May God bless those soldiers serving our country and take care and protect them and their families.
