I've always questioned why BGP has an Auto Racing forum and a Pro Sports forum. Isn't Auto Racing a Pro Sport?

 

I took a look in the Auto Racing forum today and there are a total of 20 threads for/from 2010.

 

I would bet that Fantasy Football threads surpass that in a couple of weeks...drafts, rankings, rate my team, trades..etc. Then add in the threads for baseball and basketball leagues.

 

BGP supports/sponsors fantasy leagues for the 3 major sports. We could expand it to include golf, hockey, auto-racing and possibly fishing(if there was interest).

I think there would be close to 20 new threads a week. No one wants to post a new thread about "Michael Turner or Ray Rice" or something of that nature. But if there were a fantasy section, I think it would be an appropriate thread. There would be lots of hits and lots of interest, IMO. Plus it would help clean up the "Pro Sports" section a bit more.

March and April are the only months that I wouldn't be starting a new thread or posting in a Fantasy Forum

I play a lot of fantasy sports and I totally agree with you on this!

I think it would be a very wise decision for two reasons...

 

1) I think that there is a desire/need for it.

2) It will take away some of the posts/threads for this forum and I feel like would make a lot of people happier.

 

I don't know the logistics behind adding something like, but I think it would be a smart move. And I think Clyde should be a moderator for it lol.

I'm surprised Clyde would be against this, given the fact that the closest he ever came to being an athlete was in his own fantasies. :sssh: And croquet. Apparently, he was a killer croquet player. Used to beat his little sister on a regular basis.
