Honestly, I place zero, absolutely zero, credence in what Rove has to say on any thing. I blame him for a lot of the mis-steps and mistakes of the Bush presidency. In my opinion, he's a big part of the Republican establishment that is being taken to the wood shed by the Tea Party and is a major cause of it happening. Karl can wither up and blow away as far as I'm concerned. He's just another example of the "party first, country second" mentaility found inside the belt way.

That bio is down now as she is apparently changing it and probably her website for the general election. She makes herself sound pretty good in that bio. I think the pics that have been posted of her are funny. She is an attractive lady but the pics I keep seeing of her are not very attractive at all. I have to say those pics make it look like the righties' liberal media paranoia has some merit to it.

Then I'd love to know who and what is telling you that "most of mainstream America is in favor of the Tea Party," because that's a gross overstatement.

I don't think many Democrats would claim to be in the Tea Party movement, but I do think many Democrats are fed up with run away government spending and that is right up the Tea Party's alley. Any Democrat that discounts the issue of smaller government/reduced spending might be in for a surprise in November.

I'm a Democrat no longer. I have just as much outrage at the way the government is run as anyone (kind of why I quit being a Democrat). There are a lot of people like me, also.

 

Why is it, pray tell, that you think Republicans -- and by extension the far-right fringe the Tea Party represents -- are somehow going to make things better? Throwing bibles at problems or just screaming "no" without offering real solutions is just as ineffective as throwing money at a problem. They've failed just as miserably as Democrats have, and contributed an equal share to our country's problems.

 

The ultimate problem in this country is partisan politics and the money that goes into supporting it, and the greed that expects something from that support.
