Amen, and this is coming from a true Bobcat, Marty Reagan is in a class by himself. Shawn Robbins would be second. Both play in the toughest classification in the state (3A). The rest are good players but not in this league. Jones from Belfry would be third.

Im very suprised that Greg Hackney from Pikeville hasnt been mentioned more than he has. He rushed for over 4000 yards in his career and was a mr. football finalist his senior year. His all time rushing record at Pikeville was the one that Brent Coleman broke, Greg set this mark in 2 years and Brent had to play all 4 to break it. Not to mention he was on 2 of the undefeated state champion teams.

I think the thing that hurts Hackney in this situation is that he shared the backfield with another great back. I think it was Bobby Deramus and I've heard some say he was maybe better than Hackney.

Both Bobby Deramus and Greg Hackeny are 2 of the top backs in EKY the past 20 years. I don't know which one was better but they were both very good. They both put up great stats and both of them only played until about halftime in most games their junior and senior seasons.

I give the edge to Jones & Howard simply because they were faster and had lessor teams in their state title runs.

Jones & Howard were awesome but no way they were better than Hackney and Deramus.

I played with eddie, he and I split time at NG. He was great too. know that I think about it Im not sure what Bobby played on D but i know he got a full ride to marshall for defense. What are jones and howards numbers?
