Sheldon Clark 25 Frankfort 12

Tough blow for the Panthers... Any stats?

Maybe 3A is a little better than expected...or the other classes a little worse?

I do not know which class is better; however, I do know that the 2 point conversion failed leaving the final score 23-12...Best of luck to the Cards this season......

Frankfort was a talented football team that was capable of big plays at any time, but Sheldon Clark absolutely dominated this game. I would be willing to bet that Frankfort only had 5 - 7 first downs the entire game. Frankfort's only scores came on a SC turnover deep in their own territory and a 95 yard TD pass on 3rd & long. Aside from those plays Frankfort was bottled up and knocked around most of the night. Defensively the Panther's stacked the line and tried to slow down the SC rushing attack by bringing a lot of people. It slowed down the Cardinals at times, but also led to some big runs when the backs found daylight. Overall good game by both teams. Frankfort is capable of playing deep into the A playoffs IMO.

Sheldon Clark was bigger and stronger than Frankfort. The control the LOS all night. Hats off to SC, they have a solid football team.

As for Frankfort they played good defense all night. Gave up some big plays. But they had 6-7 kids that played 48 minutes. Offensively they had trouble moving the football. SC great job of shutting the run off. Frankfort will be fine with some minor adjustments. This game served its purpose for Frankfort. To prepare them for the playoffs. Lessons will be learned and they will be improved.

It had little to do with the game, but the officials mot the best. In the first quarter SC was given 5 downs one series that eventually led to their first FG. Had the officials knew what was going on Frankfort would have turn them over on downs.

Good Luck to Sheldon Clark, they will be a force come playoff time.

Sheldon Clark went to the Semi-Finals last year in the 3A. IMO Frankfort battled very well they dealt with about 6 players not being able to play in this game. I agree with CoachB, SC was very stronger than the Panthers they controlled the line all night. 23-12 not a bad score for 1A vs. 3A runner-up semi finalists.

Congrats to Sheldon and good luck for the rest of the season.

BTW, SC's press box staff was very nice. Great people.
