On the road against a hot 2A contender, I don't think any team hurting like Mad Central would be able to recover. Only way this one stays close is if the Indians keep this a low scoring affair by containing the NewCath QB Hightchew with an aggressive pass rush and quality pursuit. Make this NewCath team go through RB Kelly and keep it close all the way to the fourth and maybe, MAYBE this one is a competitive matchup. With that said, I thinking we're looking at a 3 TD win for the 2A Breds. Really looking forward on taking in my first NKY football game of the year tonight.

I agree, but three years ago this was the #1 overall team in the state, and now they can't defeat a 2A power. That is the point I'm making.

Madison Central is experiencing a couple of really down classes, they will recover and be back to winning 8-10 games per season but it is going to take the new coaching staff another year (or two) to get there. I would expect a NewCath win by 2-3 TDs.

I will agree that Madison Central has fielded many nice teams over the years, but I can't remember any time in the last decade when they would have been considered a top 10 team in the state, much less and overall #1.
