August 31, 201016 yr My question is this: Is it humanly possible to hit a 105 MPH fastball with movement coming from roughly 52-53 feet? It would seem you'd almost have to start swinging as Chapman's releasing the ball to have a chance to make contact with it.

As hard as his fastball will be to hit, it is a decent slider or change up that will be the pitch that kills hitters...

August 31, 201016 yr 17 and he missed 10 days due to injury. Nice try though. He's hitting .250 with 1 HR and 12 RBI in August. The 10 games he missed due to injury were right after the All Star Break. His numbers support my statement. Nice try though.
August 31, 201016 yr Alright I know you guys have been waiting all day for this. Harang will be booed as he walks off the mound after Dusty removes him from tonight's game. I'm even going to predict he gives up a HR to the Brewer pitcher. This game will be all but over by the 5th inning. Harang will give up at least 10 hits and 7 runs before his night is done. Carpenter gets the Cardinals back on track as they go on a 10 game winning streak.

You asked if he had an RBI since the break. He has 17. It's not like he's playing as poorly as Gomes. Your simply not going to hit .300+ every month. If .250 is his down month, with the the Reds going 18-8 in August I'll gladly take it. Nice try though...

My point was and still is that be is wore out. He only played in 80 some games last year. You won't see much offensive production from him the rest of the year. Nice try though.

August 31, 201016 yr He played in 128 games last year. Nice try though... You are correct. I looked at his AL games only. I apoligize for being wrong about the number of games he played last year. That's embarrassing because I'm hardly ever wrong. I still stand by my statement that he's wore out and pretty much done offensively this year.
