This game is at Montgomery County.

I believe that Montgomery travels to Mason to take on the royals. Both teams coming off good opening performances..................who wins this one??????

Montgomery County looked really good AT TIMES. They seem to be adjusting to the new offense.

If Mason had a good opening performance, I doni't want to see a bad one.

And it's Mason County on the road, not the other way around.

 

Hopefully the Royals can right the ship against a Montgomery County team that seems to improve year by year.

True dat. In last year's game against Danville, Mason was up 41-7 at halftime. Different story this time around. Mason will have to move the ball with more consistency on the ground and defend the run much more effectively than last week to win in Mt. Sterling.

 

Papa will almost assuredly be there to see the new facilities and to stop by Melini's for some Italian.

We like it a lot. We've been to all four of them (Mt. Sterling, Morehead, Grayson and Ironton). The one in Mt. Sterling is next to the Goodwill on the bypass.

 

We didn't make it to the game at Danville (we took our daughter to G'town the next day). Anything besides the inability to handle the pass rush that stood out to you that needs work this week?

Seemed to me the linebackers/defensive backs needed to re-act to the run more quickly. The d-line was occupying more than its share of blockers which should have left some other defenders free. Too much arm tackling, too. I heard some comments that they seemed to be trying to strip the ball from the runner rather than tackle.

Montgomery Co. usually has a very physical team. Even if your team wins they will be bruised up.

Hopefully Royals put it together this week,I won't be able to attend as my daughter has a 7th grade basketball tourney,Ironically its in Mt. Sterling but she plays same time as the game!Haven't missed a game in i don't know how long..
