I didn't expect this one to be such a low scoring game. I hope someone gives us a summary of what happened!

Thought that KC would have put up a few more point on them.

In the first half it looked like Knox might jump out to a lead but they squandered a couple of chances. Knox had the ball first and goal in the 2nd quarter and fumbled at the one after a hard hit. Clay fumbled it right back but Knox ended up not doing anything with it. The Panthers also fumbled deep in Clay County territory in the first quarter. For most of the first half it felt like Knox was dominating the game everywhere but the scoreboard. In the second half Clay County got it going a little bit better on offense but except for the one drive they couldn't finish. It looked by both teams need to work on their conditioning. However, both teams have some big, strong, fast kids and should be good once they eliminate their mistakes on offense.

They are a good team. They were beaten by a good team. They can have a good season if they can stay together after Scott . Biggest problem is depth. A lot playing both ways and I don't know if they are tough enough to do that. Again, thanks PIG.

Commentators on the internet feed (KC-affliated station) were saying that there was a good amount of cramping going on for both sides.

Knox was able to move the ball on the ground pretty good after Clay tied it up. Ran ball well to get go ahead field goal then again to run out the clock.

Since you were there TRENCHMASTER why don't you give us an overview of the game. Who were the best offensive and defensive players and so fourth! I would really like to know how this game played out!

This is the best team Clay Co. has had in many years. They could make a run in that 5A district.

Don't mention it Big Tony. I didn't get to see the game, but it sounds to me like two good teams just got off to a bad start in this one. I'm sure Clay will get things lined out by district play. :thumb:
