Lou, I think the answer will be: Highlands has improved that much/has all their players/didn't want to show their stuff before the games that counted.

From what I've heard listening to this game, Manual doesn't have a guy like Trinity's Quick. Also, HHS' defense has been getting into Manual's offensive backfield a great deal in the game.

 

Football is a game of match-ups, and perhaps Trinity just matched up better against Highlands than Manual does... HOWEVER, there's still a half to play.
