October 9, 201015 yr So you'd be OK with going to school on 12.25 if the break started on 12.26 and went the exact same number of days as it does today? Not feasible as some has mentioned that a good portion of school funding is based on student attendance. With what you suggest, attendance would be down tremendously and not financially feasible. Schools have bills to pay, too and yes finances have to be a consideration. That is the reason why schools close for illness. When it gets down to 80% or so, it gets to the point, they are losing money to be open.

I doubt you would push for our founding fathers religious status when talking about their religion. October 9, 201015 yr Good Friday I wouldn't call Good Friday a Holiday . It is a day of prayer and fasting . Whereas Easter is a joyous Holiday
