You think there is any chance that Orlando swings the sign and trade with Toronto? I think they have the pieces to pull it off and VC could end it where is all started.

I'm pretty sure there Plan B was Joe Johnson They really painted themselves into a corner if they can't sign a big time guy. The only saving grace would be the ability to sign 4-5 2nd or 3rd tier guys, if they are left when the dust settles.

Wouldn't be a bad move IMO, but I wouldn't go anywhere near that if I were Paul Pierce. There would be little chance of winning anything there if 2-3 other Eastern Conference teams load up. If I were the Bulls and struck out, I would do my best to follow the Thunder model and be very frugal with my money.

Yeah I could see that if Bosh would play there. They have more pieces to move than just about anyone. You have VC, Pietrus and Gortat that have all been mentioned as trade-bait and I've even heard they wouldn't hesitate to move Nelson. I wouldn't sleep on a team that doesn't have cap space getting Bosh, because CB4 wants a sign and trade. Miami has nothing to offer via S/T if the Raptors don't want Beasley, Chicago has nothing besides Deng or Gibson to offer unless they throw in Noah, NY has nothing but garbage on their roster outside of Gallinari IMO. They Nets have some pieces they could move, but I don't know how high on the list they'd be without James going their too. Bosh could go anywhere IMO.

July 1, 201016 yr ^I think the Rockets option is a really intriguing one for Bosh. I think so too. Going back home with a roster that is already built nicely. Any of these other scenarios involve a whole lot more variables when it comes to 4-12 spots on the roster.

I'm thinking the Celtics should sign Pierce and trade him during the season for Melo. Pierce goes to a team that is pretty good in the WC, and Boston gets to recharge their lineup and start the future on the fly. Works for everyone I think.

Its starting out slow, and without surprise, thats for sure. Anything can happen though as more and more teams start to call or meet with some of these guys. Dotted lines won't get signed until this time next week, so if a team or two can add a couple of pieces then coax that last piece to go back on his commitment to a previous team then it is perfectly legal. I think once a couple guys start to move elsewhere it will open up the flood gates. If Johnson, and Gay stay though, that will sting the hopes of a lot of movement, and transition of power in the league.

I hope that the Heat, Knicks, Nets, and Bulls don't get anyone because it's been garbage how they have sold their souls trying to get LeBron James and others to come there. The Heat have 2 players on their roster!!! That shouldn't even be allowed IMO. Let James, Wade, Amare, Joe Johnson stay home. Bosh can come to the Cavs. Boozer can go to the Heat I guess. Lee can leave the Knicks for a real NBA team.
