Walton-Verona 2010/2011

Word from down south....WV beat Anderson by 2 earlier today.....

I wouldn't put to much stock on summer games. Yes they help in the development process, but you never know who is there and who has practiced. Walton turned around and lost to Owen later in the day.

I heard that Walton finished 4-2 against a pretty good line-up of teams and only lost their last two because they were very fatigued due to playing 6 games within 24hrs.

Yeah they would have never lost without being fatigued!! Too bad they had so many more games than the other teams.

Walton was the only team to play all their games in two days instead of three days.

And they played them in a 24 hour period 4, 6 and 8 and then played 11, 1 and 3 the next day. Great field of teams with a lot of good basketball.

I hope Anderson and Walton get to play in the regular season. It would be a fun game to watch.

Walton is not scheduled to play them. They picked-up several 9th Region teams instead of playing some of the bigger 8th Region schools. Don't really understand their scheduling.

From what I heard, Walton tried to schedule Anderson and Anderson declined.

I believe they have Shelby, North Oldham, and South Oldham on the schedule. Not many more 8th region teams to play with the exception of Anderson and ML Collins.

That is not true. Anderson has tried to play more 8th region schools for years and nobody wants to play them.

I hope you are right but I don't see any of the these schools on their schedule.
