The Professor
Chip and putt that is what separates the men from the boys in golf. :thumb: Too many people worry about how far they can hit their clubs when they should be placing more effort on this part of their game. They'll soon see that their scores will get better. There's a 74 year old guy at our course that hits the ball off the tee about 200 yards, but he will dominate you around the greens. He is tough to handle in our little quarter skins game (he won't play for more than that, he still thinks it's the Great Depression:lol:). The old saying, "Hit for show, putt for dough" is very true. Watusi
MBWC41, if you are into self-help, then check out the old Jack Nicklaus book, "Golf My Way". Some very good visually discriptive writing about the golf swing. I read it 25 years ago and it is still very very good, especially for someone just starting out. True, but it's so much easier to hit greens in regulation when you have a wedge in your hand instead of a 6 iron!!!!
