What does Bishop Brossart need to do to improve in 2010? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

After a year where they set so many milestones for the program this should be another good building block season in Alexandria.

They lose a talented running back in Chris Bowman. I also think they lost a couple other talented players. I was wondering if they will be better than last year.

Who will be the Qb this year?

They did lose Chris Bowman but they do have 4 very talented RB's this year all having different styles to bring to the field. Regarding the talent coming back the incoming senior and junior classes are probably the most skilled that have come through Brossart so far.

Jesse Orth (Soph) was the QB last year and I assume will be the QB again this year. The biggest loss in seniors will be Chris Bowman, Timmy Butts, Michael Whitford and kicker Ryan Morrision. The Mustangs should be better, mainly because the entire offensive and defensive line was underclassmen (mostly freshmen and soph). They also had a freshman RB Jacob Elbert that should be able to replace Chris Bowman's touches \ yards. As the Mustangs gain experience (especially since they started the middle-school program last year), they should continue to improve. The only thing that could derail their progress is enrollment - most Catholic schools in the current economy are suffering in terms of enrollment numbers. They should build upon their successes from last year.

With Orth entering the 3rd year of starting and veteran WR corp the offense will likely sling the ball around alot this year. On the defensive side of the ball they are still growing into the scheme but this year they should see a definite improvment from the previous 2 years.

From what I seen of them last year, I would say they will spread the ball and try to throw the ball. They have receivers coming back, but the lost Bowman. Did he go to college anywhere? I think they will be good, but as good as last year, might be a stretch. The program is definitely in the right direction.

From where they were 2 years ago the only direction for this program to go is up. With as young of a program as they have with every year comes more knowledge and for kids that never played football before a couple of years ago they are finally starting to learn the game. Everybody in the area are proud of how far the kids and coach's have come in such a short time.

The youth program they developed will help them in years to come. I think the schedule for this coming year is still geared towards a developing team which should help build confidence.

I would definitly say the schedule is harder this year than it was last year. Although I would also say that they should be better as a TEAM this year also. What they can do in conference this year should give a good barometer of how much better they have gotten.

I can't wait for them to play the bobcats. It was a great game last year.

It should be a great game this as evenly matched these teams are. Alot will depend on how Betsey Layne does against the passing game of the Mustangs.

Any chance that the younger Norton decides to play football this year? Strong arm and the 'it' factor required to be a big time QB.
