Football University at KSU

Featured Replies

My son received an invitation to Football University at Kentucky State from May 14-16. I looked over their website and it looks like a nice camp. Does anyone have any personal experience with this camp? It is fairly expensive at arouns $600 and I wanted to know if it was worthwhile. Any help would be appreciated.

Good camp. Several of the kids I coached have attended. There will be 8 kids I coach that will be attending this year at KSU. They video every drill. They will give him honest feed back as to his weakness and strengths.

Very good camp AJG.

I will be there, look me up, or contact me before.

If my memory serves me right, this is just at KSU, not a KSU led event??? Correct?

That's correct. They have several camps all over the country each year. This is the group that does the US Army All-Star Game each year.

William Leach and Phillip Hawkins led the charge to get FBU to the bluegrass state....:thumb:

FBU is run by ex-NFL players and coaches. Everything is filmed and critiqued in the classroom. If you are an MVP, you are invited to their "Top Gun" camp in Orlando,FL. If you make it through that, then you are invited to the U.S. Army All-American camp.

FBU teaches proper technique followed up with one on one's. Plenty of one on one time with the coaches and immediate feedback. Well worth the money.

Austin Abner of Highlands attended this camp in Feb when it was in Miami Fl. Not sure though if he will be attending the FBU camp at KSU this month. It sounded like it was a very good experience for him to see where he is at and where he wants to be.:thumb:

I just confirmed that Austin has been invited to attend the camp at KSU but not sure if he will be going. There are some other camps that I think they are going to check out as well.

Great camp. Several Highlands kids attended the one in Frankfort and it was a great experience.
