Unbelievable that Mercer Co would fire a coach that was seconds away from a state tournament birth but they did. My alma mater does it again. So stupid!!!!!

You must not still live in the area. This is hardly a surprise. Many believe that if he wasn't in the car wreck last year he would have been fired, oops I mean released last year. Do I agree with it......I don't know. I can understand why he was fired and I knew after the season they had it would be hard to justify it. Am I surprised? Not at all. It's been a long time coming. I hope Brian Britt gets the job. I know he wants it and I know the kids like and respect him a lot. I think he gets along good with the administration as well which is obviously a plus.

 

As long as Steve Adams stays away from Mercer and Mercer stays away from Steve Adams all will be fine.:thumb:

Lyndon Compton. Nice. If Asbury runs the uptempo offense lime I have heard they do, he is a great pickup. Especially if he starts shooting the ball more. Good for him. I hear he had the best jumper on the team(even better than Cinnamon's) but he was so unselfish he never shot the ball. Good luck to him.

This certainly makes the Bardstown and Nelson County job searches more interesting.

I am almost certain Brian Britt will be in the running. I have heard Ronnie Bottoms name come up as well as Dave Fraley's.

This was a stupid move on Mercer Countys part. Coach Cundiff at times may not be the easiest to get a long with, but all that aside is a great basketball coach. You name me one coach that has ever had success and not ruffled some feathers? The bottom line is Cundiff wanted to WIN and didnt care who he made mad along the way. If it wasn't for Jared Polson ( a preferred walk-on at uk) he would have been playing in Rupp this year. So to justify this firing is crazy...
