Alabama Larry Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Clyde started an Easter thread for Catholics, so here is one for everybody else. Paul states in 1st Corinthians..."If Christ was never resurrected then we would have no Faith". The best is yet to come, so let us give Him our best now. Chapter 50:58 Jesus was only raised once, so one time is only needed to become a believer and have eternal life, we give this day to remember His sacrifice was not in Vain. Eternity compared to 85 years, well there really is no comparison. Matthew 1:28 "The Angel tells Joseph to name the baby Jesus because he will save his people from their Sins". Not the water, the blood of Jesus our Savior. In Luke we read about the Rich man who realized to late that he didn't listen, and now its too late as he wants to warn his brothers back on earth about what he is facing. Chapter 16:19 Hope everyone has a meaningful Easter weekend, and if you attend a service thank Jesus for what he has done. I'll be praying for you, please pray for me.

Alabama Larry Posted April 5, 2010 Author Posted April 5, 2010 Got a visit from Jehovah Witness again. The head guy came over with a young person. Their main topic was .."Easter is a pagan holiday and should not be done". "There is no where in the Bible we should celebrate this or Christmas" It went pretty well, we shared each thoughts and lot of scripture. They invited me to a specila meeting in April. They have never that before, I might go just to see what it is like.
Alabama Larry Posted April 6, 2010 Author Posted April 6, 2010 More Easter thoughts..In the Gospel of Matthew two women go to the tomb, and an angel removes the stone. This would mean the body was not stolen as the Romans wanted people to believe, they even paid the guards large sums of Gold to keep quite. In Mark three women visit the tomb and find it open and an angel sitting there. Luke, more than three women go there and find it open and empty when two angels appear as they arrive. These angels tell them "Christ has risen" In John, Mary Magdalene goes alone and sees a man who she thinks is a gardener and its Jesus himself. Mary by the way was not a lady with a bad rep, she had a demon problem. She also appears in all four Gospels. And her presence at the Cross is huge. The Disciples ran and hid but she stayed and the Romans were known to to kill family memebers who stayed around too long. Easter is not in the Bible but the accounts of Easter are there.
Alabama Larry Posted April 19, 2011 Author Posted April 19, 2011 Found this from last year. I didn't want to repeat myself. But actually this story needs repeating. Jesus tells his disciples. In three days I will rebuild the Temple. 1st Corinthians 15 is one of the most important chapters in the Bible. If Jesus doesn't come back from the dead, whats the use?
bugatti Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 Bunny/Eggs/candy...nothing wrong with it as long its for the Kids. As they grow and can be taught the real reason. Seriously? Nothing wrong with candy for adults.
