April 2, 201016 yr Road signs are no longer a necessity with GPS. Also, the founding fathers didn't have road signs, did they? Absolutely incorrect. My wife was taking my daughter to a friend's home here in the country. THe GPS said they were at the house and it was only a barn. THey turned around and went the other way even though the GPS was telling them they were going the wrong way. Found the house on their own. Going to Man O War Golf center and it takes you to the back side of the Airport.

How many do I think own them? Please tell me. :lol: I am just going by my experience with the students that I have in my classes. My experience tells me, that for my community, there is a positive correlation between income and computer ownership/internet usage.

April 2, 201016 yr Road signs are NOT an excellent example, it's really apples to oranges. The mandate for nutrition boards is wasteful and stupid and will likely be problematic for many restaurants. It's benign and will not be problematic. Much ado about nothing.

For a small fee, you can even print off what you need.

Could you explain the others to me, I sometimes have trouble with Rule 2? When is it a violation, when is it not? :lol: You prove my point beautifully and I appreciate it. :thumb: Just because the constitution does not specifically address something does not mean that the federal government shouldn't take care of it. Road signs are an excellent example. Requiring restaurants to list caloric information on their menus is another one, IMO. If you are hanging your hat on the "Roadsigns" argument go ahead. But, if I was going to argue that the constitution should be changed, I would argue for term limits for elected officials. But, that's just me.

If someone can't "afford a computer and internet to look up caloric information online at restaurant websites". They probably can't afford to be going to a restaurant anyway. It's that personal responsibility stuff RTS and other conservatives speak of quite often. The "menu mandate" or having to post nutritional values is not the core problem we have...It's a government MANDATE that that is 95% useless that stings. I think I can speak for many conservatives on BGP when saying, we get it, we understand your point of view. You are fine with government sticking their nose into things as petty as posting caloric intake on menus at private restaurants among other things. We assume you are very happy right now, congratulations. What gets me is the way some of you don't seem to "get it" or understand our point of view. You just want to cast it aside or throw it in the WRONG box. Sort of like our arrogant President and Nancy Pelosi do. Again, my elevator doesn't go all the way to the top floor, but I do believe I can handle small things like what foods are good for me without the help of the government. April 2, 201016 yr I like the idea of me having all the information that I need to make my decision on what I would get to eat. I see this as no difference than clothing having a tag to show size, what material it is made of, etc, etc.
