Big Cuz's Treatment

Featured Replies

And UK fans wonder why so many people don't like them....let's not sit here and act like Cousins was the only big man that got banged around down low guys.

For those who think he got treated unfairly, realize this...he went to the line 23 times during the tournament which ties him for 5th amongst all players who played in the tournament. That's more than any other BIG MAN in the tournament. If anything, you should be worried about his free throw shooting (9-23 39.1%) and not the calls that went for or against him.

Only Gordon Hayward (31), Devin Ebanks (28), Da-Sean Butler (28), and Evan Turner (24) shot more free throws than him. Jacob Pullen was the other player tied with him with 23 attempted free throws.

The officials overall have let ALL TEAMS (including your beloved Wildcats) play so what's the point of this thread other than to try and make ANOTHER excuse for why they lost last night?

The sheer number of FT attempts do not tell the whole story.

Do your job and you don't get turned to.

A foul is a foul whether someone complains or not, its the reason I have little respect for some officials.

A player whines and cries to me, will have to play through a lot more. His job is to play mine is to officiate. So don't cry to me when I don't think there as been an advantage/disadvantage gained.

Don't ever miss a call, a player will play................

Such is life when you're the biggest player on the floor, no matter what level of basketball you play.

Very true and it is straight up garbage refs treat big guys that way. Shaq has been beat down and hacked in a similar fashion his entire career. Half the time it is not even called. Just because you are big, they let you take more punishment.

I'm still confused how Cousins picked up his 3rd foul. He had position on the WVU guy, who appeared to have gone over Cousins' back. If anything, it could have been a foul on Dodson who was behind the WVU player.

But a foul on Cousins? No way.

That was a huge call, Cousins played a little timid after that not wanting to pick up his 4th foul. I was pretty sure that Cousins was the one fouled when they blew the whistle, then the announcers said it was on Liggins, which was possible, so I'm not sure what they could have called on Cousins unless they called him for backing the WVU player out.:idunno:
