July 9, 201016 yr :thumb: Cal has Gilchrist locked up so why would he even bother? Chane is blowing up after the NBA 100 camp and having a good spring/summer. Good luck to him on his future, just won't be in a Kentucky uniform. Isn't Gilchrist more of a 3 and Chane a 4?
July 9, 201016 yr Here is the simple reality on Chane. He's a 6'6" PF with a 6'8" wingspan that has average explosion off the floor. He is going to have trouble scoring inside on his power alone at the next level because the taller, longer and more athletic guys he bullies around now will be much stronger and able to keep him from getting off his shot. His game off the bounce is still limited at best and he's improving but inconsistent from 15 feet and beyond. I've known Chane and his family a long time, and I like the kid a lot. That has no impact on the reality of the situation...

August 12, 201016 yr From GT's description it sounds like he needs to work on his perimeter skills. 6'6" PFs can be successful at the next level but with only a 6'8" span he'll need some perimeter skills to take it to the next level. I wish him the best and hope he stays in the Bluegrass for his Sr season.
