P.L. Dunbar Head Coach Position

Featured Replies

Wrong, it will be an assistant from an 11th region team.

Good. Leave my 12th region coach alone. :D

Heard that the Superintendent wouldn't let the Dunbar Principal interview Champ Ligon. He didn't want to embarrass the Bryan Station Principal by allowing Ligon to coach at Dunbar. This is the same Superintendent (Stu Silberman) that made the Bryan Station Principal (Gladys Peoples) hire Ligon back, after she fired him, so she could hire her friend Mike Allen.

Fayette County Public Schools: What a God awful mess.

Champ Ligon and his Bryan Station teams defeated Dunbar 17 straight times. I'm thinking this would have come to an abrupt end had Dunbar had the basketballs to hire Ligon.

I would assume that the next coach would need head coaching experience to lead Dunbar out of the funk they seem to be in.

The two names my people are saying are Justin Yeary and Keith Stone. Expect a decision to be made in the next 7-10 days.

Neither have hc experience

Just heard Justin Yeary got the job.

Is this the best they could get? That principal is a great guy! Good luck to Yeary
