Who cares what an actor says when he's not acting? Why do we give Penn a pulpit? I was going to say something along these lines, but you probably said it better. Is this really news? I blame CBS, or whoever ran the story, about as much as those who bring it up and harp on it on message boards.

I think all the others are great, but I disagree that any are better than Penn. Denzel Washington in particular. Whenever I see a movie with him in it, it's like watching Denzel Washington as himself. He's one of those actors that I don't get the impression that he IS the character. Not to say I don't enjoy the movies he's in. I usually do. But, I don't feel he's really "feeling" his character.

I put Johnny Depp #2 on my list of actors in my generation. Brad Pitt is probably #5, behind Leonardo DiCaprio. I don't really even have Christian Bale on my list.
