I've taken a wonderlic a couple of times, and the questions are pretty difficult the further you get into it.

 

They start off very easy, but they get more and more difficult. I usually get finished with about 35 questions or so, but I'm sure I missed some of those. If I had to guess what I scored (I didn't find out either time) I'd say I scored at worst a 25 and at best a 30.

I figured it must be tough. One of the ESPN Radio guys (Colin maybe) was giving scores of random guys with different professions and the chemist only got a 31 I believe. :idunno:

 

I'd love to try it. As long as I score better than Vince Young, I'll feel OK about myself.

I thought Young's was a 16, as bleedblue posted. :confused:

 

Actually, after looking, apparently he got a 6 the first time and a 15 on the second try.

 

For a total of 21...almost as good as Tebow...:dancingpa:lol:

Back to my original question: Since Tebow and V. Young both "failed" the Wunderlic test, if Tebow's career doesn't pan out, will he be considered "too dumb" to play QB in the NFL as a result, the way people have criticized Young?

I said I would be happy. A low 20's on this is like an 18 or 19 on the ACT. Smart enough to get into college but not going to Harvard. But this would be a small portion if any on what criteria I used to draft a guy.

How does one go about scoring an 8? What, did he put his name down then not answer a single question...Sheesh.

 

Chris Leak was only able to finish 12 questions, getting 8 right. So that's how he got an 8.

These two posts were from a thread from around the beginning of the 2009 season, where VY was vilified for saying he would be the next black QB to win the SB, and that he would also one day be elected to the HOF.

 

I'm sure that if we went further back to find the thread about VY being benched in favor of Collins we would find a lot more.

 

Does anyone remember how much flack Merril Hodge took for saying that Vince Young would never be a star in the NFL??? When he scored a 16 on his Wonderlich test I realized that he would struggle. He has.

 

18-11 as a starter. He still has many good years left, physically he is all there but i don't know how much he has between his ears.
