Woops, must have hit a nerve here.........I don't have the list but if you get it you'll be surprised at who's actually on it. :D

:confused::idunno:

If someone would stop being shady and had some names maybe I would be surprised and maybe I won't.

Here's some names I know on on the list that "should" be: Ronnie Lyons, Chris Harrison, Chris Lofton, Deron Feldhaus, Billy Custard, Bill Kelsch, Marvin Cooper, Fred Walker, etc. Maybe this will lead you to who shouldn't be there...........check the Ledger for more recent names......

Where is Mustang when we need him. I am sure either he or Mel could provide a list. Not sure how I can give an opinion if something is out of hand when i do not even know what And One Dad is talking about. Need more specifics and quire frankly it seems you have brought up a small school player getting in over maybe a big school player. I prefer if you just come out and say what the problem is in your opinion.....

I agree, let's get the list and see what you think.....my general idea is that it should be a very exclusive club and putting in 4-5 players every year dilutes the pool. I think the players put in this year played within the last 5 years. Also, it's a about talent and not school size. I just used that example as a viable argument for my position.

I guess, in my opinion, it shouldn't be about opinion, or politics, it should be about objective criteria, i.e., would any question Ronnie Lyons or Chris Lofton being in?

In Lexington hanging out at Joseph Beth Bookseller most of the night.

Only have my small netbook laptop with me.

Sumoroyal would know. I'll PM him to put the complete list of inductees on the thread.

My congratulations also to Mike "The Murph" Murphy.

Well deserved. He can be found working nearly every basketball event in the Fieldhouse and has been doing so tirelessly for many years.

One of the good guys and legends in the 10th!!!!

Thanks for the info Mustang. See what I mean?

I don't see anything honestly. There are four players who apparently are deserving to be placed in the HoF and two contributers who are also deserving of being put into the HoF.

What are the numbers of 10th Region HofF compared to that of other regions?

I'd bet not many other regions have a hall of fame at all. This is a cool thing the 10th Region does to honor their own. Why anyone would complain about some former players being given an award is beyond me.

Maybe AndOneDad hasn't been inducted yet and feels slighted or something...

OK, I'm convinced, let's put everybody in the Hall of Fame..................:deadhorse:

I am still not getting what your point is.................who is going in that you feel does not belong? Who is on the list that "would be surprising?" I am starting to get the feeling you have somebody you feel should be in and is not...................

My point is there are too many people in period....my definition of Hall of Fame is individuals who were/are exceptional. It should be a very exclusive club and include only the best of the best. Two of the Player inductees this year played within the past 5 years, do you know them? Did you see them playing on TV in March or afterward in the NBA? As I said previously, there should only be 10-20 players in this Hall, total at this point. Just my opinion but why have something that doesn't represent "the best of the best", seems to be too politically correct to have so many players in a "Hall of Fame".

The 8th Region started a HOF last year. Mike Casey was the first inducted. This year's honors went to coaches Carl Wederoth and Tom Creamer.
