Gallatin County 77 Walton Verona 69

Featured Replies

77 points is kind of high for a regional tournament game....I thought Trame was a defensive man...

They should of won 20 games. They have 4 seniors and a junior who were the main players last year....not taking anything away from Coach Trame but personally I do not believe he got the most out of each player.

1. Trame's HC teams never scored a lot because they were usually outmanned so his offense was methodical which also meant the other team didn't score a lot.

2. You can't say "not taking anything away" and then criticize him.

Just because you have 4 seniors and a junior doesn't mean you are going to win games. Trame doesn't play defense, the boys do. He can teach then but if they do not execute, it's not his fault. It is what it is. Gallatin loves to score and play up-tempo so I give them the credit. Their offense beat Walton's defense. Additionally, Walton had numerous turnovers tonight that lead to their defeat. They couldn't take care of the ball when they had it and Gallatin made the most of it.

Why is it you all always blame the coach? Just a question. I don't mean anything else by it. Just like the girls program two years ago. Anyway, GOOD JOB GALLATIN!

This is not comparable to that.

I agree with you 100%.

GC is now 24-6 and advance to the semis for the third time in four years.

Congrats to Coach Jones and his team. Some of you folks are giving Coach Trame a hard time without cause. Gallatin can be hard to guard at times due to the fact that Coach Jones gives them alot of freedom. Also, keep in mind that basketball I.Q. is hard to teach.

Coach Jones has built a solid program.

Congratulations to Walton for not giving up when it looked like they were going to be ran out of the gym. Congratulations to GC for having the composure to keep it together for the win. Good luck Wildcats beat the Dragons.

25-7, 24-8, and 24-6 in those three seasons.

Congratulations Wildcats!!!! :dancingpa :dancingpa Can't wait until Monday night!!!!

I look for that to continue for a couple more years! :scared:

Congrats to Gallatin on a Regional win. I also would like to congratulate Walton's 5 seniors for a very fine career - Jordon Ponzer, Brandon Bowlin, Cameron Burns and Cameron Reynolds. I would like to recognize Zach Poore. Zach was a Senior on the basketball team this year but was injured during the preseason. I know it was hard on him to miss his whole senior season.

Congrats to the Wildcats on the big win, although they tried hard to give it away in the fourth! (18 point lead at the end of three...whittled to five with plenty of time to play...)

Kudos to Walton-Verona for refusing to fold and giving their fans plenty of reasons to be proud of their effort, particularly the fourth quarter rally.

Gallatin - starting five kids all under six foot - managed to battle even-steven on the glass vs. the Bearcats, who were significantly taller....

Does Davis have a maximum range? Is it the front door??? His third quarter three pointer came from a different zip code.

Zak Brown wins the award for the goofiest made shot with his left-handed, over the shoulder bank shot. I'm sure he called it. :D

Kristian Morgan was superb on both ends of the court for GC. Going to be fun watching him for three more years...

Jon Jones, in his 16th season, continues to be an icon in the 8th. He also continues to debunk the theory that small schools can't win consistently. Despite being an "A" school, Gallatin continues to be one of the most successful teams in the region under Jones' tutelage year after year. His teams have great basketball IQ, shoot free throws well, and are generally good ballhandlers and passers. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see them in the finals on Tuesday night, although they'll have their hands full with South Oldham Monday.

Monday should be a great game for the fans...neither South or Gallatin will likely slow down to take a breath...

Started to bring back memories from 1999 when Gallatin lost their 20+ lead in the second half!

We'll be there on Monday!!!!
