Anyone have any insight on 7th Region officiating?? Just curious since that is who will be officiating the tournament.

 

Is the 8th region trading officials this year for the tournament?

That's my understanding.

Owen County vs. Simon Kenton, 7:30 p.m.

 

Tuesday

 

Walton-Verona vs. Carroll County, 6 p.m.

 

Anderson County vs. Oldham County, 7:30 p.m.

 

Friday

 

South Oldham/Shelby winner vs. Owen/SK winner, 6 p.m.

 

Walton/Carroll winner vs. Anderson/Oldham winner, 7:30 p.m.

 

Saturday

 

Finals, 7 p.m.

Shelby has a great shot at upsetting South. They are playing well and have the confidence of knowing the have already defeated South once. That being said, I expect coach Wright to have an improved game plan and have his kids ready to go. They came into the year as the favorite and have every reason to feel like they can win this whole thing.

 

Carroll and Walton should be an interesting one as well. Walton has defeated Carroll all three times but Carroll has closed the gap each time. Im sure coach medford will have a great gameplan and have his girls ready to go.

 

Owen seems to get a hardluck draw every year, and despite being the district winner, it would be quite and upset to see them defeat Simon at Simon. Still, Owen has a nice team capable of pulling off the feat.

 

 

Anderson and Oldham should be interesting as well. Anderson has the size to deal with Lape on the block but Oldhams style is one not many teams employ. Will the young kids from Anderson handle Oldhams pressure?

It is the 12th region coming to officiate. It was a straight switch with the 8th and 12th for both the boys and girls tournament.

The refs are from the 6th.
