After last night I agree with this. Except I might have NCC and Newport tied for 2nd right now. I need to see Ryle in action before I put them at #2.

Clyde, tonight at CovCath while I enjoyed the noise and such, the floor was starting to sweat, along with the ball becoming wet. A couple of times you could just see the players look at their hands and I know Connelly came over at least two to three times asking for a towel to dry his hands off.

 

Yes CovCath is a rather old gym but after sitting in Ryle, Holmes and Conner gyms, it happens in them also.

I've been to a lot of games there where when it became really warm they would open a door on the North end and the backboard on that end would fog up and the floor would become extremely slick but not sure with the renovations done if that is even possible today.

CC I will tell you that I have been in the Holmes gym when it did it and I have also been in the Ryle gym when it was like that also. We can agree that it can and does get like that in the CovCath gym, can't we?

My gosh where do you live in NKy that NKU is too far to drive to?

 

Even if your kid attends Ryle, it's not that far to drive! I live in Oakbrook and I can make it to the BOKC in 20 minutes or less easy! BTW from my home to the BOKC is only 16.7 miles!

 

My goodness, some districts in Kentucky must travel over a 100 miles to play in their Regional games!

 

It's not as convenient as driving 15 minutes to a nearby high school, dropping them off and then going back 90 minutes later to pick them up. Last year there were very few students at the games.

Lets see, 15 minutes compared to 20 minutes? WOW a whole 5 minutes longer drive! Come on!

 

Do you want to bet, it takes longer from anywhere in Boone County to get to Cov Holmes gym, than to the BOKC?

 

Folks if it's the money, then buy your tickets Sunday at the BOKC where you won't have to pay the surcharge. It will only cost you $6.00 to buy a ticket in advance not the $8.00 at the door!

Yes, it has happened in the past at Covington Catholic. The worst used to be at NCC. I have not seen (or heard) it happen at CCH since the addition / entrance was built.

 

The regional games will never be hosted at CCH or NCC, so it's a moot point. I've never seen it happen at Holmes, Conner, or Ryle, nor have I heard about it being an issue there.
