February 18, 201016 yr Anyone that doesn't appreciate how Kobe plays the game is missing something. He's an artist, I would rather watch Kobe when he's on that I would MJ. His offensive game is flawless IMO, scoring wise. I must admit, HT and PurplePride's love for Kobe got me to watch him more and more and watch more closely. I actually like Kobe now because of those two and the puppets. I'm not a fan and you won't see my in a Mamba jersey or pulling for the Lakers, but as an NBA game I would be crazy not to appreciate Kobe's game. :thumb: Cavs-Magic argument this season, UKMF? I'm not as sold on the Magic as I was last season, but I do think they match-up with Cleveland extremely well. If they play again in the post-season I fully expect Orlando to win the series again though.

If anything the acquisition of Shaq eliminated any mental advantage Howard had with the Cavs. I am not sold on Howard being a mentally strong player and Shaq is able to mess with his mind without even being on the court.

That's how I feel too. Dwight Howard is effective offensively because he is just stronger and more athletic than most post players. But you don't out muscle Shaq and that takes away a huge part of his game. I also think that the size advantage Orlando had last year is not there because of the addition of guys like Parker, Moon and Jamison and with how Jawad Williams has picked it up. If need be they have an infinite number of combinations now, instead of just having a bunch of small guards and slow crappy big men like they did last year. How would the Magic react to a line up of: Mo or DWest. James at the 2. Jamison moving down to the 3. Hickson Shaq That wouldn't be a starting line up, but that line up would be a nightmare for stretches of a game for Orlando IMO because they would have the athleticism to guard the 3 ball, the strength to guard Howard, and size to matchup at every position.

I agree he would beat up Williams, not West though. Delonte is a great defender he just couldn't guard Turkoglu. He completely shut down Joe Johnson last season in the playoffs so Nelson wouldn't be any problem at all. Howard never does well against Shaq. As for Hickson on Lewis, I don't think they'd use that line up when Lewis is at the 4 because like you said Lewis would eat him alive. But, when they play two bigs like they have done a little more of this year that's why we'd see a line up like the one I mentioned. I would say it would be a good series, I just don't think the Magic have the same team as last year and I feel the Cavs are much better and way deeper than they were last season. I'm interested to see what Powe will bring to the team as well here in the upcoming weeks. If he's healthy I think he helps out alot too. But I think if the Celtics and Magic are on the same side (2&3 seeds) the Celtics will pull it out for some reason, with Rondo being the key difference. JMO.

February 18, 201016 yr What's up with all these useless trades this year? Seems like there has been more than normal... I don't know man. I don't see why some of these teams bother. Both Warrick and Alexander's contracts are expiring so maybe that's why. I think Houston made out fairly well in this one. I hate that they lose Landry, but they got the best end of the deal to me too. :thumb:
