February 15, 201016 yr Is the new wide recievers coach at Texas A&M. He coached the QB's their back in 2000. Best of luck to Krags.
February 15, 201016 yr Good luck to all of the Kragthorpe's. What they endured over the last year was shameful. Now that Jurich and the UL homers are so giddy with the new hire, I will be very interested to see how they turn on him when he doesn't produce either. I wonder if he will be given more than 3 years. I hope down the road, a Kragthorpe team meets up with UL and beats them like a drum. Brad, if you still visit here, I wish you and your family much success in the future. You guys were a class act and are missed.

February 15, 201016 yr He got more time than what the blue bloods gave Billy Clyde. 1. I thought this thread was about Coach Kragthorpe not BCG 2. BCG was fired with just cause because of well known on and off the court problems 3. Coach K has high moral standards unlike your basketball coach that you blindly follow (See Karen Sypher, Cleveland Clinic, UK cheerleaders, Cincinatti Abortion Clinic, etc.etc.) 4. To compare Coach K to BCG is a real stretch. He and his family deserved to be treated better. Jurich threw his suposed friend under the bus. Spin it anyway you like, the facts don't change.

All of that is true, however, let's be honest. If Clyde was had been winning like Cal is now, the administration would't have carred if he locked players in the bathroom stalls at halftime while doing kegstands. His actions would have been tolerated with #1 seeds in the NCAA as opposed to NIT bids.

To bring up BGG just seems like a poor diversion attempt. Thanks goodness I am not a UL fan, but I am I Coach K fan. He was doing things the right way. I truly hope if and when he leaves Texas that he is treated better than when he and his family were disgraced when he was kicked out of Louisville.

As many know I am a huge Kragthorpe fan....I hate what happened, but do support the current HC, mainly because he's the coach, and he had nothing to do with Krag's dismissal. What makes you think Strong will fail? What signs have you been shown?

February 16, 201016 yr Just like you bringing up Rick Pitino....my man. There was a time when I really liked and respected Pitino, but those days are long gone. Bobby Petrino had recent success at UL and John L. to some extent, but other than those two, I have no reason whatsoever to think Charlie will do any better than the rest. But hey, UK has a three game winning streak going and I fully expect it to continue to grow, which is just fine with me.

But College football is about the mighty dollar. So no way could Jurich bring him back. The people that giving the money would not allow it. Also missing out on bowl games and TV dollars played a role. Krags was handed a team that just won the orange bowl. In three years they couldn't fill the stands at home games. With the expansion being completed there was no way he could return with the product he put on the field. So he was treated like a business decision. This happens everyday in all types of careers. Just like if Strong can't win in the next 5 years he too will be fired. As will Joker, Cal, and Pitino. Bottom line is they all have to win games.
February 16, 201016 yr What was Kragthorpe doing right? He wasnt winning, couldnt recruit, and couldnt put people in the stands. We would have continued losing on the field and in the stands with him. His recruiting classes were awful. Charlie strong upgraded the recruiting in less than three months. Why would anyone hire him as a QB coach after what he done with Hunter Cantwell. He went from the top QB prospect in pre NFL drafts under Petrino to a QB with a wind up and hitch under Coach K. Good luck to him. I hope we do get to play one of his teams also, It will be an easy win.
