This game got out of hand early. Ockerman came out in a 2-3 zone that frustrated the holmes guards. They couldn't get the ball into the paint.

 

The stanley kid from ockerman is quite a player. He sees the court well. Holmes looked rushed and couldn't hit many shoots. Ockerman played great defense.

A neat deal for the middle schoolers at Scott today. A very nice sized crowd was there all day. Kudos to the announcer; not sure who he was but he did a great job. I was impressed by the level of play of both the girls and boys teams. Good to see the Kenton County schools playing against the Boone County schools again.

I agree! Great season. Congratulations to all the winners, and good luck to all the 8th graders who will be moving on to high school next year. Scott High School did a very good job of hosting championship Sunday.

Chase Stanley plays on Boones JV team and is the older brother to Brenden Stanley. Chase is a great athlete also. He has scored in double digits in most JV games, helped the team to a perfect season (21-0) and also was on JV baseball team this past season that won the JV Tourney. Great well balanced kid with great grades just like his brother!
