I now remember why I stopped coming to the HS basketball discussion..........a team from the 13-16th Regions get 0 respect...............

 

Outside of the past 5 years, what have the teams in those regions done to earn that respect?

It would have been interesting this year (and maybe last year, too) to see a Rose Hill-Shelby Valley meeting in Richmond and/or Lexington.

Two years ago, when Euton and Jackson were sophomores at Rose Hill, I would have figured this to be the year they won it.

Yes they have a team. And I'll agree if everyone had stayed, it may have made for a good game. However, the current RH team would not have offered much resistance to SV.

Congrats to Shelby Valley. I had them winning it in the BGP contest, but DeSales blew up the other side of the bracket for me.

 

Are they good enough to contend in the 6th? Early-season blowout losses to Iroquois and LexCath tell me no, but they seem to have improved.

DeSales may be a second-level contender ... Iroquois is definitely the favorite, and Pleasure Ridge Park and Fairdale might be the next two choices.

Congrats to Shelby Valley, this was a terrific team effort today.

Justice has won what he wants...a place to play at the next level!!

Don't kid yourself...Justice is a gamer. Aside from being an outstanding young man, I would feel pretty good building my team around him. He was the MVP because of all the things he brings on the court....it isn't just about points (unless you don't really understand the game). Congrats to Justice & SV on their nice run to the Championship !

I've not witnessed him personally, but I have heard about him since he was in the 8th grade. I would like to see him match up with Aaron Watts from McCreary. I did see Watts play and I don't know why he isnt in the MR Basketball convo. I hope McCreary wins the 12th so they can play in Rupp and more people can see him play
