Is the Ravens' D still "smoke & mirrors"?

Is the AFC North still down?

All questions that show how short-sighted some opinions on every message board tend to be.

Shows you can't go into the playoffs struggling.

Example: Eagles, Bengals, Pats and later today Cards.

Philly had won 6 of 7 going into last night's game.

As far as the Ravens D goes, my opinion hasn't changed about them being old. As I noted, they drew the only other team in the league older than them for the playoffs.

The Pats need to upgrade in a lot of spots in the offseason, or they're on a collision course for a few years of mediocrity. I think the Colts pound Baltimore next week.

Got hammered by the Boys' heading into the playoffs, that hurt.

Agreed on all points. But, those old guys can still play. Ed Reed was banged up all season, but he appears to be healthy now and played well today.

The Ravens no longer rely exclusively on their defense to win games. But, when they get an early lead, they're tough to beat. I think Indy takes care of business next week, too.

On the good side of things, I'm 0-for-3 so far on my predictions, which means those of you who like the action should be betting on Green Bay like crazy while you've still got time. Fortunately, I gave that stuff up a long time ago.

4-4 in their last 8 and were really hurt with injuries to Moss and Welker, and Brady looked hurt.

New England is gradually starting to fall back to the pack, they are no longer feared.

They no longer have access to everyone's playbook beforehand...

I picked the J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets, and Dallas, but I picked the Pats at first. I later posted that the more I think about the game that I feel Ratbirds would win...

I didn't make a pick on the GB game, but would have chosen the pack...
