January 5, 201016 yr Watched most of the second half. Pretty good game. Stephenson and Gates didn't play well for UC in second half, but they still almost pulled it out. Gilbert Brown was huge in second half for Pitt. After Bishop had a nice rebound dunk, Brown had a nasty two hand throw down on Toyloy. Looked like he elevated off Toyloy's chest, for and one.
January 5, 201016 yr Jamie Dixion is IMO the best coach in the Big East, and his team flat out executed UC down the stretch. Pitt was crisp and efficient while UC was just praying something would work here and there. Hats off to Pitt. 2 big conference road wins in a row for the Panthers...

Why would UC get away from getting the ball down low? Early, it looked unstoppable.

Dante Taylor did a much better job defending on the block and making entry passes a lot tougher. That and outside of Lance they don't have anyone that can throw a decent entry pass...

January 5, 201016 yr They quit passing it down low when he got back in...so it seemed. He played 23 minutes and a large chunk of them were in the 1st half. He played very little in the 2nd and I don't remember him once down the stretch...
January 5, 201016 yr GT what happened to Wright? I thought he would be a big contributor. I know he hasn't played well, but is it something the staff thinks they can correct? As far as this game IMO Stephenson looks to shoot a tad too much and Gates and Vaughn don't get enough looks b/c of it. Stephenson played good and even excellent in the first half, I just think Vaughn needs more looks.
