As we get ready to leave another holiday season behind, the fleeting days are filled with gray and the cold air is keeping most of us in hibernation mode. This is the time of year when the winter blues start to hit their peak. Maybe it's just me, but I suspect a lot of people feel the same way. So there can really be only one viable solution -- one thing to save us from all this misery.

RTS and I were talking about this the other night, and agreed that it's been entirely too long since we had a BGP group event. True, it's a little easier to have these in warmer weather; but there's no reason we can't have a great time and stay warm at the same time.

 

Obviously, this is a NKY event, but we always manage to bring in several intrepid travelers from the rest of the state. And they tend to be the life of the party.

 

We were thinking of meeting at one of our usual haunts, such as:

 

• El Rio Grande in Newport
  
• Barleycorn's in Cold Spring
  
• The Hofbrauhaus in Newport
  
• Buckhead's Mountain Grill in Bellevue
  

 

Also thought about trying the new Guys & Dolls supper club in Cold Spring.

 

So what say you? Who wants to meet up...eat up...and greet up? Also, any suggestions for a date to have the event?
