He's gone out and has become an advocate on certain issues. He's done everything people have asked for him and thus far, he's done everything he said he would. Granted, he put himself in that situation, but I think it takes a strong person to admit their mistakes & go speak about said mistakes.

 

I don't feel bad for the man, but it was his TEAM who voted for him.

 

Call me skeptical when a guy becomes an "advocate" after he is sentenced and he's also always in the public eye. I said I give him credit for doing his time. The rest of it is PR.

I agree, but I'm biased of course. Some part of me still feels like he can be a quality starter in the NFL, but most likely that is non-sense. I'm a huge Vick fan though:idunno:.

How about giving the award to someone who HASN'T committed felonies? Or someone who has stayed out of trouble?

 

I could understand saying that it takes courage to quit using drugs, or alcohol. Those things are addicting and can be very hard to get off of once you start. But to quit murdering innocent animals, and go back to playing in the NFL...that doesn't take courage.

I cannot agree with that more. The only only reason he quit, is because he got caught.

I'm not a fan of Vick but I have no problem with him getting his 2nd chance and I hope he is able to do some good with it. However, him winning the courage award is a complete joke and has ruined any credibility the award had.
